Vettel praises team for all-nighter

Sebastian Vettel said tweaks made to his car overnight were the key to him taking pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday. The Red Bull team broke the FIA-imposed mechanics' curfew on Friday night in order to make some major setup changes to the car in time for Saturday morning practice.

That is what I'm talking about. Yabba-dabba-dooo!
Horner   Christian Horner
Fantastic Seb, I hope you're going to be waving that finger for me again this Sunday?
sbstnvtl   Sebastian Vettel
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnnngggg-a-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding! I'm going to lap all those losers today.
Horner   Christian Horner
That's what I like to hear perfect Seb. I'm just laying plans for a typically impromptu Red Bull party after the race, where we will be inviting the BBC team to join in our crazy, improvised, off-the-cuff antics.
wibbah   Mark Webber
I'm not sure I'd be up for a party unless I make up lots of places tomorrow Christian, not been a great weekend for me mate.
Horner   Christian Horner
Mark, we would expect your presence and support to celebrate perfect Seb's expected success. We all owe it to the guys who stayed up all night working on Seb's car.
wibbah   Mark Webber
Wait a flamin' minute, did you say working on Seb's car? What the hell were my mechanics doing?
Horner   Christian Horner
Well Mark, given Seb's guys were up all night the team decided to rest your mechanics in case we needed to switch some fresh guys over to Seb's car for quali.
wibbah   Mark Webber
That's not fair dinkum Christian, no wonder I only qualified sixth.
Horner   Christian Horner
Despite our success Mark we are a relatively small team so we must realign our assets now and again. Adrian and I discussed this given Seb's precarious championship position.
massa   Felipe Massa
Maybe our guys should stay up later too to work on my car, I might have got pole then, especially given my superiority over Fernando this weekend.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
It would be a bit rich to expect the mechanics to give up sleep for you Massa when you appear to do most of your sleeping when you get in the car. I believe I'm 10-1 up in quali this year.
massa   Felipe Massa
I truly believe my championship challenge starts here Fernando.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
Sure it does Massa, you're only six race victories behind the leader. I'm sure the team will back you 100%. Oh, by the way: "Fernando is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?"
Domenicali   Stefano Domenicali
The beauty of Ferrari, and our wonderful family helps us all to support everybody. Felipe will support his Ferrari brother Fernando. As a team we win together, lose together, and eat, drink, and sleep this sport together.
bestofbritish   Jenson Button
Ooooooh, kinky, you might see this horse prancing over to your motorhomes to join in the fun.
HeidiHi   Nick Heidfeld
Surprising, I often pull all-nighters on a GP weekend due to my party schedule and it has no effect on my performance
mschumi   Michael Schumacher
Your performance is so limited I doubt anything could affect it Nick. You'll have lots of free time next year to catch up on some sleep.
jackie   Jackie Stewart
Driver fatigue is an extremely serious safety issue, and one that contributes to a large percentage of the crashes we hear about both on and off track. One must acquire adequate rest the night before a race, or indeed any car journey. This is necessary to maintain the reflexes and sharpness to react in good time to any unexpected events. Remember: Rest before you ride.
