Teams will not object to Lotus name changes
Top F1 teams have said they have no issues with Team Lotus' rebranding as Caterham, and the Renault team taking on the Lotus name. Mercedes team boss Ross Brawn said teams should only change their name for "genuine" reasons, but they "wouldn't stand in the way of a sensible proposal". Christian Horner and Martin Whitmarsh have also spoken out in favour of the change.

Which means you... sold out? I suppose it didn't hurt that the Brawn team then goes down in history as undefeated. I guess winning the championship by fluke with illegal aerodynamic aids is a "genuine" enough reason for a name change.

I don't dispute that Colin, but with respect, perhaps if you had some outside guidance, you would have reconsidered renaming your team HRT after a medical procedure.
