Herbert insists Massa deserved penalty

After colliding with Hamilton for the sixth time this season, Massa was penalised but was infuriated by the decision, saying he took the normal racing line and was not at fault. "The decision to penalise Felipe Massa for his contact with Lewis Hamilton came down to one simple fact - it could have been avoided," Herbert said. "I know Massa was upset by our decision, but we made the right call."

fernando   Fernando Alonso
6 collisions, in one season, a sorry state of affairs indeed.
massa   Felipe Massa
I had the racing line, he ruined my race yet again. Good job Lewis.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
Yep, almost as good as the job you're doing this year Massa.
hammy   Lewis Hamilton
I'm just sorry guys, I'm really really sorry about everything. Sorry.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
Jeez, you irritate me even when you're being apologetic Hamilton.
MycLaren   Martin Whitmarsh
The McLaren Group wants to stress that Lewis has nothing to be sorry about. Lewis, I've told you not to say that so often.
hammy   Lewis Hamilton
I know, I'm sorry Martin. I'm really sorry.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
You've changed Hamilton, I guess you don't worship Ayrton Senna anymore, he never apologized for a thing in his life.
hammy   Lewis Hamilton
Frickin ridiculous guys, that frickin idiot is just in my way all the time. Yellow helmet plus McLaren = one totally unapologetic guy. Stay out of my way Massa, don't frickin touch me man. I'm not sorry. I'm not sorry for a thing in my life.
mschumi   Michael Schumacher
Great call Herbert, even Webber and Coulthard came out and said Felipe should not have been given the penalty.
johnny   Johnny Herbert
Here's Johnny! You call that a penalty you lily-livered lemons. When I said I'll give him a drive-through I expected the stewards to line him up at the end of the pitlane for me to mow him down in the safety car. That's punishment.
wibbah   Mark Webber
Fair dinkum mate, I'm a hard man from Down Under but even I think that's a bit extreme.
johnny   Johnny Herbert
Listen here you koala-cuddling cretin, in my day we drove at full speed in the pitlane, and Down Under is where this blond bomber went with all the grid girls before and after a race.
Louise   Louise Goodman
You tell 'em Johnny!
mschumi   Michael Schumacher
Funny that Herbert, I remember you pioneering the art of coasting through the pits on your way to the garage for yet another retirement.
DC   David Coulthard
I stand by my point, penalties are awarded for illegal contact in soccer, Felipe is an F1 driver so he can't get a penalty.
MBrundle   Martin Brundle
Er, there are penalties in F1 David, and lots of other sports too, it's a universal term used when you issue sanctions.
DC   David Coulthard
I don't think it's necessary to get the UN involved Martin, they're busy with more important things.
MBrundle   Martin Brundle
Sanction is a general term, like a penalty. Jesus, never mind, I'm getting you a thesaurus for Christmas.
DC   David Coulthard
I love those thesaurus guys Martin, remember the bit where they eat the guy in the toilet in Jurassic Park.
