Marussia asks FIA to investigate Team Lotus breach
After a British court ruled that Team Lotus (now Caterham) had misused IP owned by Force India on its 2010 car, Marussia has requested an FIA investigation into the case. The court ruled that CAD Files used by Aerolab/Team Lotus reproduced much of the vortex generator, rear brake duct lower element and rear view mirror. The FIA is to await the outcome of a court case in Italy before ruling on the matter.

I thought we settled this crap in the courts, Force India got 25 bloody grand for it.

Fernando Alonso
Wow, that's some serious compensation for having their IP stolen. Should keep them supplied with toilet roll for the rest of the season.

You're right there Alonso, 25 grand is an insult. It wouldn't put a bloody platinum coated faucet in the upstairs jacks in my smallest private jet.

It's the principle of the thing Mallya - you got your money, case closed as far as I'm concerned.

Fernando Alonso
You'll probably be surprised to hear that money isn't the only "principle" in motorsport Fernandes.

It is really though isn't it? You'll hear all these lads going on about the thrill and the passion and all that rubbish, but when it comes down to it, it's uncle Bernie's bucks that keep you all in digs isn't it?

I wouldn't hold my breath, they don't seem to be in a very big rush. I believe this all happened well over a year ago.

Good plan Todt, let a few old men in wigs make the tricky decisions for you.

You'd have to wonder what the hell Marussia think they're going to get out of this anyway.

It is important to consider the technological advantage Team Lotus unfairly gained over us in the 2010 season, and how that could have affected the results.

Michael Schumacher
I suppose with you being one of the two teams actually behind Team Lotus on the grid, their fancy stolen Force India rear-view mirrors could have given them the edge.

I've got plenty spare lawyers around these days Booth, you'll never get a result out of this one.

John Booth
Your army of trademark lawyers won't do much for you against the FIA Fernandes, I'll get you bloody disqualified.

Michael Schumacher
I'd look out Tony, that could mean losing your championship points from last year... all zero of them... bumping Virgin up from an embarrassing last place to a pathetic 2nd-last.

Michael Schumacher
I doubt even Eddie The Eagle would buy that one Booth. I believe it's actually "2nd place is the first loser", which means 2nd last place is... the 2nd last loser.
