Rosberg takes maiden win in China

Nico Rosberg has taken his first F1 victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, his 111th race. Despite having taken pole by a significant margin, he said he was surprised by the race pace of his Mercedes. "We didn't expect to be that fast today. We knew we had good chance to be in the front but we didn't expect to be that fast... It is an unbelievable feeling. I'm very cool, very happy and very excited."

Well done Britney, I suppose I'll have to lay off the "no wins" comments from now on.
nico   Nico Rosberg
Thank you Michael, it is an honour to finally be a member of the exclusive club of Grand Prix winners, and to now be considered a peer by someone of your stature.
mschumi   Michael Schumacher
Woah there, don't get ahead of yourself Britney. I believe you join 31 others in the bunch of drivers who've won a single measly GP, which is about as exclusive as the "special merit" list in a school essay competition.
nico   Nico Rosberg
My hope is that this has opened the floodgates Michael, so I can very soon increase my tally and maybe one day, in some small way, emulate your level of success.
mschumi   Michael Schumacher
Let me explain statistics to you again Britney: Your win yesterday, by far the greatest moment in your career, brings your win percentage up to a whopping 0.9%. While the same race dropped my win percentage to 31.3%, a tragic 0.1% fall caused by the complete incompetence of a neanderthal-brained pit-stop mechanic.
nico   Nico Rosberg
I heard the poor guy was devastated Michael, and I thought it was really generous of you when you said you didn't lay any of the blame on him.
mschumi   Michael Schumacher
I didn't want to get the guy fired - if he wasn't in the garage any more I couldn't make his life a misery for the rest of the year. Listen and learn Britney, the best way to inflict the most damage on a marriage isn't to ask for a divorce - it's to refuse to get a divorce.

Speaking of surprises, looks like Mark "number two" Webber put Vettel in his place with that overtake at the end. I wonder how that made you feel Seb?
sbstnvtl   Sebastian Vettel
Haha, yeah I remember being passed by Jenson and Lewis alright. I think Raikkonen passed me at one point. And Grosjean put up a good fight there at the end. My tyres were gone, tyres gone totally.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
Hmm, you seem to be forgetting someone there Vettel, like the very person my question was about.
wibbah   Mark Webber
Too flamin' right mate, he dodged the same one on the BBC after the race, mentioned every flamin' bludger in the paddock except me.
sbstnvtl   Sebastian Vettel
Yeah, congratulations to Nico, my tyres were completely dead. Gone. No tyres left.
Horner   Christian Horner
Rest assured Perfect Seb, we are conducting a thorough investigation into the inexplicable differential between your tyres and Mark's. Don't get me wrong, we are ecstatic here at Red Bull about Mark's latest stroke of luck, but we need to get to the bottom of the tyre issue ASAP.
wibbah   Mark Webber
Stone the crows mate, I reckon it's pretty simple - they were a tad newer, and maybe I did a better job looking after the flamin' things than Seb did.
Horner   Christian Horner
Thanks Mark, I'll pass on your theory to Adrian. He's going through a process of elimination at the moment, and it's good to get the simplest explanations debunked early on.
fernando   Fernando Alonso
Maybe you should let Adrian concentrate on fixing the car Horner, instead of the Red Bull reality distortion machine you seem to be developing.
DC   David Coulthard
I'm speechless Martin, I find it completely ridiculous in this day and age that a woman can be given as a prize at an international sporting event.
MBrundle   Martin Brundle
Christ David, Rosberg didn't win a woman - "maiden win" is just another way of saying his first win. Much like the way we describe the Titanic's first outing as its "maiden voyage".
DC   David Coulthard
Oh, I didn't know the Titanic was on a maiden voyage. I always wondered why all the survivors seemed to be women.
