Moss believes F1 is less fun without risking life and limb

Legendary driver Sir Stirling Moss has bemoaned the fact that Formula One has become so centred on safety, claiming that is has fundamentally altered the sport. "The concept has changed, that's a shame, because we had fun risking life and limb and that's gone now, really... In my opinion, if you don't want to take risks, play tennis."

I'd like to say if I may that I think it is a disgrace that former drivers of the stature of the legendary Stirling Moss can spout about bringing back danger to F1 when the concept of the sport is to be the fastest, not to get hurt, especially given the magnificent progress in safety. When will Ferrari do the right thing and hire Mark Webber? Finally, I'd like to add if I may that I think we need to get the risk factor back in F1 to appeal to the fans who are bored with the ultra-safe run-off areas, and we need to get more high-profile ex-drivers to support the cause, because with all due respect Stirling isn't even a World Champion.
